Overview
CalcTools (calctools.tools) is a free set of online calculators. This page explains what data is collected when you visit the site, why, and what choices you have. We collect as little personal data as possible: the calculators run entirely in your browser and none of the numbers you enter are sent to us or stored anywhere.
Cookies and analytics
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept anonymous traffic measurement via Google Analytics 4. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits, see which pages and languages are popular, and understand roughly where visitors come from. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for calctools.tools, which will show the banner again.
Advertising
CalcTools may display ads served by Google AdSense to help cover hosting costs. Once enabled, AdSense and its partners may use cookies to show ads and, if you consented, to personalize them based on your browsing. You can control ad personalization for all Google services in your Google Account's Ad Settings, and manage consent for this site through the cookie banner.
Ko-fi donations
The 'Support me on Ko-fi' link takes you to a page hosted by Ko-fi (ko-fi.com/iliass94), a separate company. We never see or handle your card or PayPal details — any payment you choose to make is processed entirely by Ko-fi and PayPal under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Since we don't run accounts or store personal profiles, there is generally no personal data of yours held, apart from messages sent through the contact form and what Google Analytics aggregates on Google's infrastructure when you consent. You can withdraw analytics/ad consent at any time via your browser settings, and you can always ask Google to delete your Analytics data via Google's own account tools.
Contact form
If you write to us through the Contact page, we receive your email address, your message and, if you provide them, your name and the address of the page concerned. This data is transmitted and stored by our host Netlify (Netlify Forms) and used only to reply to you. We delete messages once the request has been handled, and at the latest after 12 months. You can ask for their deletion at any time through the same form.
